STEAK BONES, steak dog bones, steak dog treats, homemade dog treats

STEAK BONES FOR YOUR FURRY FRIENDS:
CHRISTMAS DOG BONES...

OK, SO HERE IS THE DEAL WITH ALL THESE AWESOME LOOKING STEAKS.  IT WAS THE DAY BEFORE CHRISTMAS AND ALL THROUGH THE HOUSE, NOT A DOG WAS PATIENT; NOT EVEN THE CHEF.  OUR FURRY FRIENDS DEMANDED SOME NEW DOG BONES FOR CHRISTMAS 2017 AND WE HAD TO DELIVER.

HERE ARE THE INGREDIENTS USED IN THIS LATEST BATCH OF HOMEMADE DOG BONES; ORGANIC CHICKEN BROTH, CARROTS, EGGS, APPLE SAUCE, BACON BITS, CHEESE, BANANAS, STEAKS, AND FLOUR.  (PLEASE NOTE, THE SCOTCH AND JD WAS STRICKLY FOR THE CHEF.)

LET'S START WITH THE STEAKS.  I CHOSE TO SKILLET THEM ON THE OVEN FOR ABOUT 15-20 MINUTES ON LOW (WITH SOME VIRGIN OIL) UNTIL THEY WERE COMPLETELY COOKED.  I USED SOME ANGUS BEEF, WITH NEW YORK STRIP AND SOME FILET MIGNONS TO GIVE THE PETS A TASTY CHRISTMAS.

THE PETS MADE SURE THAT I DIDN'T EAT ANY OF THE PRODUCT BEFORE IT WENT INTO THE MIXING BOWL.

THE END RESULT.  YEP, THAT MACALLAN SCOTCH HIT THE SPOT!!

TAKE THE STEAKS AND THROW THEM INTO YOUR BLENDER.  ADD ONE CUP OF ORGANIC CHICKEN BROTH.

ADD 1.5 CUPS OF UNSWEENTED APPLE SAUCE AND THROW IT INTO THE BLENDER ALONG WITH THE COOKED STEAK AND ORGANIC CHICKEN BROTH.

IT SHOULD LOOK SOMETHING LIKE THIS BEFORE YOU START TO BLEND EVERYTHING TOGETHER.  ONCE AGAIN, THE SCOTCH WAS STRICKLY FOR THE CHEF!!! DO NOT GIVE YOUR PETS ANY ALCOHOL!!!!!!

START BLENDING...

LOOKS DELICIOUS!!!!!! WE HAD ONE OF THE PETS WATCHING ME TO MAKE SURE THAT WE DIDN'T SCREW ANYTHING UP.  LOOK AT THOSE DILIGENT EYES!!

WORK FASTER!!! HURRY UP HUMAN!!!!

NOW IT'S TIME TO ADD SOME CARROTS AND 1.5 BANANAS PLUS 1/2 CUP OF APPLE SAUCE INTO THE BLENDER.

YOU WILL ALSO NEED TO ADD ANOTHER CUP OF CHICKEN BROTH TO THE BLENDER BEFORE YOU START THE BLENDING PROCESS.

THROW IN TWO EGGS!!

BLEND ALL THE INGREDIENTS TOGETHER.

YEP, I KNOW.  THE MACALLAN'S SCOTCH BOTTLE IS STARTING TO GET LOW.  THE CHEF, (ROBERT MARGETTS) AT: http://rmargetts.blogspot.com WAS HAVING A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS MAKING THESE STEAK BONES!!MANY THANKS TO MY BEAUTIFUL WIFE, STEPHY FOR THE CHRISTMAS SCOTCH....

OK, SO NOW THAT EVERYTHING IS BLENDED TOGETHER AND IN THE MIXING BOWL, IT'S TIME TO ADD THE FLOUR.  I USED AROUND 13 CUPS OF FLOUR.

                                                                               WRONG BOWL MY FURRY FRIEND!!!

ADD AROUND 2 CUPS OF SHREDDED CHEESE.

ADD TWO BAGS OF BACON BITS. (I WENT WITH BACON BITS THIS TIME INSTEAD OF FRYING UP A POUND OF BACON AS I DIDN'T WANT ALL THAT GREASE IN THIS BATCH.  IT MIGHT DETRACT FROM THE MEAT FLAVOR.)

TOSS THE BACON BITS INTO THE MIXING BOWL AND STIR..

ONCE THE DOUGH IS READY TO ROLL, TAKE IT OUT OF THE BOWL AND THROW IT ONTO THE COUNTER.  I USED PARCHMENT PAPER AND SOME FLOUR SO THE DOUGH WOULD NOT STICK TO THE ROLLING PIN OR TO THE COUNTER TOP.

DID I MENTION THAT I COULDN'T FIND A ROLLING PIN IN THE HOUSE.  NOT TO WORRY.  I USED A BOTTLE OF WINE TO ROLL OUT THE DOUGH.

WE ARE READY TO CUT THE DOUGH.

I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH PRAISE ABOUT THE AWESME PIZZA CUTTER.  IT REALLY MAKES THIS WHOLE PROCESS SO MUCH QUICKER..

PREHEAT THE OVEN TO 350 DEGREES AND BAKE FOR AROUND 50 MINUTES UNTIL DONE.  REMEMBER TO LET COOL FOR 10-20 MINUTES BEFORE SERVING YOUR GUESTS!!!

I KNOW THAT I BRAG ABOUT THE FLAVOR OF ALL MY DOG RECIPES, BUT I REALLY THINK THESE WERE THE BEST TASTING DOG BONES BY FAR.  I PROBABLY ATE TWO WHOLE BONES BY MYSELF..

DRACULA WAITING TO BE SERVED HIS STEAK DOG BONES.  HE HAS THE PATIENCE OF A SAINT.  THE OTHER TWO FURRY FRIENDS WERE CONSTANTLY PUSHING ME TO COMPLETE THE TREATS.  I FELT AT SOME TIMES AS THOUGH THEY WERE TELEPATHICALLY SENDING ME MESSAGES:  "HURRY UP WITH THE TREATS..PUT DOWN THE SCOTCH AND BAKE FASTER?"

MERRY CHRISTMAS 2017 FROM AUSTIN, TEXAS.

HAPPY NEW YEAR..

SEE YOU AGAIN IN 2018 WITH SOME NEW RECIPES..
