Pumpkin dog treats, Pumpkin dog bones

HOMEMADE PUMPKIN DOG TREATS

THESE ARE SOME OF THE TASTIEST DOG BONES THAT I HAVE MADE SO FAR THIS YEAR.  I ACTUALLY ATE TWO OF THE BONES (WITH SOME MILK) AND GOT TO SAY, THEY ARE DELICIOUS.

AND THE RECEPIENT OF THE 2017 PUMPKIN DOG BONE AWARDS ARE:.....DRACULA MARGETTS!!!!!!

are you making some treats for Dracula?

SO, HERE ARE THE INGREDIENTS USED TO MAKE THESE PUMPKIN DOG BONE TREATS.  IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER (DRUM ROLL PLEASE).... ORGANIC CHICKEN BROTH; FLOUR; SHREDDED CHEESE; ORGANIC PUMPKIN; CHICKEN; BACON; EGGS

I USED ONE POUND OF BACON FOR THIS RECIPE.  PLACE THE BACON ON SOME PAPER TOWELS..

TOSS THE BACON INTO YOUR MICROWAVE.  6-9 MINUTES ON HIGH SHOULD DO THE TRICK.

I KIND OF CHEATED WHEN IT CAME TO THE CHICKEN.  I BOUGHT A PRE-COOKED CHICKEN FROM THE GROCERY STORE (ATE HALF OF IT MYSELF)

SHREAD THE CHICKEN TO PIECES AND ADD ABOUT A 1/2 CUP OF ORGANIC CHICKEN BROTH TO THE MIXTURE.  TOSS THEM INTO YOUR BLENDER AND BLEND AWAY.  OBVIOUSLY I HAD TO REPEAT THIS PROCESS A FEW TIMES AS I USE THIS TINY BLENDER TO MAKE ALL MY DOG TREATS.

BLEND AWAY BABY!!!

OK, TIME TO ADD SOME FLOUR TO THE MIXTURE.  I ACTUALLY USED 8 CUPS OF FLOUR (MAYBE 9 IF YOU ARE REALLY COUNTING...)

POUR THE FLOUR AND THE CHICKEN BROTH MIXTURE INTO A BOWL OR POT (YEP, WE HAD TO USE A POT AS I DECIDED TO MAKE A TANK-LOAD OF DOG BONES.  SINCE I STARTED DOING THESE TREATS, MORE AND MORE PEOPLE ARE ASKING ME TO MAKE THEM SOME FOR THEIR PETS.....

YEP, THIS IS JUST A PICTURE SHOWING YOU HOW TO ADD FLOUR INTO THE POT.  IT'S A DIFFICULT PROCESS AND ONE THAT SHOULD ONLY BE DONE BY A TRAINED PROFESSIONAL OR BY A DIPSOMANIAC CANADIAN BOY WITH GRAND ILLUSIONS OF BECOMING THE NEXT FAMOUS DOG CHEF.. (thinking about it, are their any famous dog chefs?)

SO, HERE COMES THE TWO CANS OF PUMPKIN

I HAD A CONVERSATION WITH MY BEAUTIFUL WIFE AS TO WHAT YOU WOULD CALL THIS PUMPKIN CONCOCTION.  IS IT A PUMPKIN PUREE; PUMPKIN SAUCE; PUMPKIN FILLING?  REGARDLESS, JUST OPEN THE TWO FUCKING CANS AND TOSS THEM INTO THE MIXTURE.

ADD ONE CUP OF SHREDDED CHEESE.

NOW, REMEMBER ALL THAT AWESOME BACON?  TIME TO TAKE IT OUT OF THE MICROWAVE AND START CHOPPING IT UP.

IT'S BEST IF YOU USE SOME SOPHISTICATED TOOL TO ASSIST YOU IN THIS PROCESS.  I USED A PAIR OF RIGHT HANDED BLUE TARGET BOUGHT SCISSORS FOR THIS DELICATE PROCEDURE.

KEEP CHOPPING.....

NOW, REMEMBER THOSE TWO EGGS.  YEP, THAT'S RIGHT....POP THOSE BABIES OPEN AND TOSS THEM INTO THE BLENDER ALONG WITH THE CHOPPED BACON AND THE ORGANIC CHICKEN BROTH.  FOR PURPOSES OF THIS DEMONSTRATION...I PLACED THE UNCRACKED EGGS INTO THE BLENDER...DO NOT DO THAT!!!!!!  CRACK THOSE EGGS...EGGSHELLS ARE NOT HEALTHY FOR DOGS TO EAT.

IT SHOULD LOOK SOMETHING LIKE THIS.

BLEND ALL THE INGREDIENTS TOGETHER..

ALMOST LOOKS EDIBLE

THROW ALL THE INGREDIENTS INTO THE MIXING BOWL / MIXING POT... (NOW, FOR ALL THOSE LUCKY ASSHOLES LIVING IN COLORADO...MIXING POT MAY HAVE A SPECIAL MEANING FOR YOU FORTUNATE BASTARDS!!!)  I'M JUST SAYING OUTLOUD WHAT WE HERE IN TEXAS ARE ALL THINKING!!!

MIX UNTIL THE DOUGH IS THICK.  YOU MAY NEED TO ADD A LITTLE EXTRA FLOUR TO THICKEN THE CONCOCTION...

PREHEAT THE OVEN TO 350 DEGREES.  TAKE OUT YOUR COOKING PANS AND COVER WITH SOME PARCHMENT PAPER.  THE PARCHMENT PAPER ONLY ADDS TO THE CLEAN-UP PROCESS.  TO MAKE THE PARCHMENT PAPER STICK TO THE PANS, I USUALLY SQUIRT THEM WITH SOME PAM.

ROLL OUT THE DOUGH AND START CUTTING IT INTO SHAPES.

COOK FOR 1 HOUR AND THIS IS WHAT I CAME UP WITH.  YEP, PUMPKIN COWBOY BOOTS...

YUMMY....NOW, WHERE ARE THE DOGS?

YEP, MR. DRACULA MARGETTS SLEEPING THROUGH THE WHOLE PROCESS.  WELL, EVENTUALLY HE DID WAKE UP AND GORGED ON HIS NEW TREATS..

IF YOUR PET INJOYED THESE TREATS, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO EITHER EMAIL ME A NOTE AT: RSTOM03@AOL.COM OR ADD A MESSAGE ON THE BLOG.  ALSO, PLEASE DON'T FORGET TO SEND ME YOUR IDEAS ON DOG TREATS...
